Features, Benefits and Applications
Polyester films:
Polyester's heat stability, resistance to water and chemicals, durability and
tear resistance make it the ideal film for brochures, catalogues and manuals,
overhead transparencies, menu cards or maps, or for labels or tags. Polyester
films are available in white, matte and glossy silver, gold, and clear appearances.
Rigid vinyl films:
Vinyl is suitable for high opacity items such as shelf danglers, P.O.P. signs,
promotional items and business cards.
Styrene
High impact polystyrene offers an economical substrate for applications such
as backlit signs, indoor signage/posters; shelf danglers name tags and business
cards. The films handle easily, an advantage for die-cutting, guillotines and
cut and punch processes, whilst print (corona) treatment on the reverse side
increases printing flexibility.
PVC
PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride or vinyl) is a good choice for durable but price sensitive
applications, such as mouse pads, membership cards, plant signs etc. UV stabilized
grades can be used for out door applications, and can also be provided with a
scuff resistant coating.
YUPO
YUPO is a white synthetic paper with no wood pulp content that combines the appearance
and feel of paper with the durability of film. This substrate combines the advantages
of a plastic substrate with an attractive price. YUPO is ideal for those applications
where paper just won’t last: maps, menus, luggage tags, banners, ID cards
and plant and flower tags.
